SUPPORT TO INOVATIONS IN SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES

Regional center for the development of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship Nis, started with the realization of the project `Increasing the competitiveness of the Nis region by encouraging the application of innovation in the SME sector` that will in coming two years will be realized in partnership with Regional commerce chamber Nis, University of Nis and in cooperation with Palilula Municipality. This project is financed by the delegation of European Union in Republic of Serbia with participation of 140,090 Euros and is being realized within the Regional socio-economical programme of development 2 (RSEDP2).

About the project and programme training significance for young scientific experts and entrepreneurs at the seminar held in Nis cultural center hall, spoke Vladimir Dodic the director of Regional centre for development of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship Nis who is the team leader of the programme. This is one of the actions where we promote the brochure Support to innovations in small and medium enterprises and the next activity is education for the traders and young scientific workers. After that in next phase of the project we will realize the programme with the title `mentoring days` This activity will gather eminent professors and young PhD students of the University of Nis with the aim to find innovations and realize them. In the next phase of the project our activity will be to directed to organizing programme `innovational days `where will present innovations that we have already done – emphasized Dodic. We have had so far 6 innovations that we are planning in cooperation with University professors to realize in practice but so far are our business secret of our trade society.

According to PhD Igor Novakovic words, the president of Palilula Municipality, this project tends to contribute to equal regional development in Serbia with stimuli to SME in Nis region development. The basic aim of the project is connecting the science and practice of Nis region as well as contribution of competitiveness of economy of Nis region by stimuli of small and medium enterprises for innovation usage. Palilula Municipality is the signatory of the Agreement on cooperation with Regional center of SMEE in the realization of this programme. Today lectures –emphasized president Novakovic, concretely refer to innovations in SM enterprises and we hope that traders from the territory of Palilula Municipality will recognize the importance of this education. This is not the project where participate only the traders from the territory of the municipality of Palilula but also the associates from Nis faculties. We, today, are trying to connect our University with economy. This is something that is necessary for our town on the way to European integration processes and solving problems of further development.

Milorad Rancic, owner of one firm dealing with the production and participant of project presentation. ` I can freely say that the production has problems starting from purchasing materials to payment requests. Regarding purchasing material, emphasizes Rancic, that problem we entrepreneurs can solve somehow somehow from import, or domestic market. In the end, when we make final product and place it on the market, then it comes to payment problems. These are problems that follow our economy, follow production and prevent us from improving our development. According to Milorad Rancic it will be good if every one of our traders, entrepreneurs has a bank standing for him-her, which is a guarantee. This means that if we have agreed deadline with our partner and he-she does not pay the requested sum within 60 days as it was previously agreed, than bank comes to scene, it pays the debts, so that we, as producers, can function further, normally buy material, pay salaries and other things settle that we are obliged for our country.

At the presentation of the project programme, that was on the first day of presentation organized in NKC spoke Nis University professors and the themes were: "Creativity and innovation innovative problem solving", "Strategy of innovative enterprises", "Evaluation and financing of innovation", "Defining and protecting intellectual property``.
